Employee and Organizational Support Division – Quality Assurance Records Unit, DOC Headquarters

* Work will be performed in a telework setting with meetings in a headquarters office setting or possibly within prison facilities and community corrections offices located throughout the state. Telework Available. *
The Employee and Organizational Support Division has a permanent, full-time Corrections Specialist 3 (CS3) opening available. This position, CY51, is within the Quality Assurance Records Unit, which is located at the DOC Headquarters in Tumwater, WA.
The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule. For questions, please contact the Human Resource Office.
Qualifications
In accordance with WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to internal transfer candidates ONLY.
Employees who meet the following criteria may apply:
- You are requesting a transfer under Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
- You are a permanent DOC employee.
- You currently hold permanent status in the job class being recruited for in this job posting.
- You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years' experience processing, maintaining and reviewing legal records used to determine agency jurisdiction and sentencing calculations in a correctional facility, community corrections, or other legal agency OR experience supervising staff performing these functions. College level course work in criminal justice, business administration, accounting, social science or a related field will substitute, year for year, for up to two years of experience. Note: Jurisdiction is defined as authority to confine/release, supervision/close based on the judgment and sentence.
