DOC Sourcing Specialist (Master and Government Cooperative Purchasing Agreements)

The Executive I position serves as a sourcing specialist for master and government cooperative purchasing agreements. This individual will process cooperative procurement utilization for the agency, providetechnical assistance on category guidance on master contracts and cooperative agreements, and coordinate compliance, documentation, and reporting for master contract and cooperative procurement activity. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, task oriented, and organized.

Under direction of the Sourcing Supervisor, serves as a sourcing specialist for master and government cooperative purchasing agreements. Processes cooperative procurement utilization for the Illinois Department of Corrections. Provides technical assistance on category guidance on master contracts and cooperative agreements. Coordinates compliance, documentation, and reporting for master contract and cooperative procurement activity. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college preferably with coursework in business or public administration. Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program. Specialized Skills Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in contract processing and monitoring procurement processes in a public or business organization.
