Position Overview

*This recruitment is limited to the first 75 external qualified applications and will close to the public without notice while still accepting applications from internal employees.

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Public Records Specialist in the Department of Communications. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.

Under general supervision, supports the City’s compliance with public records laws by collecting, reviewing, redacting, and preparing records—including body-worn camera footage and audio—for release; ensures accuracy, consistency, adherence to statutory and departmental requirements, and safeguards confidential or sensitive information; and performs related duties as assigned

NOTE: The incumbent for this position will perform r egular review of Body Worn Camera and photos containing sensitive and potentially graphic material, including crimes, accidents, medical emergencies, and individuals during vulnerable moments.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in law enforcement, legal, or related field.
