Job Description:

Energy Efficiency Services Manager

Purpose:

Under general direction, manages the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, initiatives, and processes involved in the implementation of Austin Energy's (AE) Energy Efficiency Services and Green Building Programs.

This position will manage the Commercial and Multifamily workgroup within Energy Efficiency Services, which is currently comprised of 12 staff. This group distributes approximately $6M/year in community incentives that support high-efficiency HVAC, lighting, and other building upgrades that improve comfort, lower bills, and support a more resilient electric grid.

Duties include those related to managing staff, leading program administration, and new program design, development and deployment. This position may also lead the development of grant applications as well as subsequent activities related to grant execution. Energy Efficiency Services plays a key role in achieving Austin Energy’s goals in the 2035 Resource, Generation, and Climate Protection Plan.

This position has been designated as a Critical Employee position. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and supports activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. Schedules may be modified, and employees may be reassigned to another area during extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to provide essential services.

Work Location: 4815 Mueller Blvd., Austin, TX 78723

Pay Range: $97,450.00 (Min) to $125,200.00 (Mid)

Days/Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - 60% telework allowed)
