Program Manager, Austin Energy Craft and Field Staff Development

Purpose:

This position is responsible for managing training programs related to technical skills and assessment and safety and quality assurance for Austin Energy’s (AE) Electric Service Delivery and Power Systems Craft and Field personnel.

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:

Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

Valid Texas Class C Driver License.

This position resides within the Electric System Field Operations (ESFO) Distribution Field Services group. This position will report directly to the Director of Distribution Field Services and manage operations for our AE Craft & Field Staff Development team. Duties will include financial and operational planning, analytics, scheduling, managing training demands, strategic partnerships, and ensuring compliance for Austin Energy's Department of Labor Certified Apprenticeship Programs and U.S. Veteran's Program.

Pay Range: Commensurate depending on qualifications and experience.

Location/Hours: 19410 Cameron Road, Austin, Texas.
Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 p.m.
