Wastewater Plant Internship Opportunity
Description
The South Adams County Water & Sanitation is dedicated to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable water resources and services in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life. The District is seeking an Intern at our Wastewater Treatment Plant.This position will provide assistance to the District’s Wastewater Operations & Maintenance Department including plant operations and treatment as well as plant maintenance.
Qualified candidates should be enrolled in or recently completed an environmental related program.
Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook are necessary. Ability to work independently with solid problem-solving skills is necessary, in addition to having a strong attention to detail and sound communication skills.
This is a paid internship. Salary range $18-22/hr. As a temporary internship, benefits are not provided. Work hours are flexible Monday - Friday, 7-4, up to 28 hours/week, for the summer season.
Successful candidate will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
