Job AnnouncementThe City of Chandler Economic Development Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a
Workforce Development Project Manager. The position is scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. This role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Who we are The City of Chandler Economic Development Division leads efforts to attract new companies, support existing businesses, and strengthen the local economy. The team provides site selection assistance, market data, and customized support to help businesses successfully locate and grow in Chandler. They focus on targeted industries and workforce development to ensure companies have access to the talent and resources they need to thrive.
The division also includes Visit Chandler, the City’s tourism program, which promotes Chandler as a destination for visitors, meetings, and events—supporting local hotels, restaurants, and retail. Together, these efforts reinforce Chandler’s reputation as a Community of Innovation with a strong business climate and high quality of life.

In this role, you will advance an established workforce development program by proactively identifying the hiring needs of Chandler employers and aligning them with qualified talent and relevant training resources. You will work closely with business leaders, community partners, and educational institutions to build and sustain a strong, future-ready talent pipeline.

Minimum qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or closely related field; and
• 4 years of work experience in business (HR and recruiting), education (career advising) or workforce development; and
• A valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

• Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP)
• Certified Workforce Professional (CWP)
• Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification
• Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) Certification
• Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Certification
• Talent Pipeline Management Certification
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
The City of Chandler will conduct a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
